I've wanted to be a therapist since I was 13 years old. I can tell you the time and place that clarity came to me. I hold great appreciation for the opportunity to walk alongside clients, witnessing their bravery to step into places unknown or dark, ultimately healing themselves.
Graduated from University of Colorado, Boulder in 2000. Stayed on an additional two years to study couples, sexuality, and depression. During that time I worked in a residential setting with adults, dual diagnosed with mood and thought disorders.
Graduated from Naropa University in 2007, a three year masters program. Simultaneously attended the Gestalt Institute of the Rockies, another three year program, graduating in 2008. While in school I worked with adults finding their path with major mental illness. In addition, I did my yearlong internship for the Veterans Administration, serving our nation's veterans.
After graduate school I continued to work with veterans for the next 7 years. I'm forever grateful to our veterans who shared with me and showed me how to meet souls who've suffered incredible traumas, and grow from such places. I am eternally astonished by the level of resilience people discover in themselves.
While working with veterans I opened my private practice in 2008 and continue on this path today. It's an amazing process to watch people find their own way toward health.
